Stagger

Definition

(formal/literary) To walk or move unsteadily, as if about to fall; to cause someone to feel extremely surprised or shocked. Often used to describe the physical effects of intoxication, exhaustion, or a severe blow. May also be used figuratively to convey the impact of a revelation or a traumatic event.
