Delinquency

Definition

(formal/legal) A failure to fulfil a legal, moral, or financial obligation; specifically, criminal or antisocial behaviour by a young person (juvenile delinquency), or the state of being overdue in payment of a debt. Collocates with 'juvenile', 'loan', 'mortgage', 'tax', and 'rate'.
