Checkpoint

Definition

(technical) A point in a process or a system where progress is checked or verified, often to ensure that certain conditions are met or to mark a stage of completion. In computing, a checkpoint is a point in a program where the current state is saved, allowing the program to restart from that point in case of failure or interruption.
